Become a Member

Becoming a member of the library is easy and free. You don’t even need to be a resident of the region. Members have access to a wide range of library and online services. As a member you can borrow up to 30 items for three weeks and use the library internet.

You can become a member online or in person at your local library. Members receive a membership number and card that provides access to all services. When applying, please provide an ID with your current residential address.

Member responsibilities

As a member, you will be asked to:

  • Follow library policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Accept responsibility for all items borrowed on your card, or your child's card.
  • Agree to pay any fees that are charged to your card, or a child's card for which you are the guarantor.
  • Follow Copyright Laws when accessing library items.
  • Follow the conditions of use and guidelines for library computers and internet access.
  • Adhere to a booking of one-hour internet time per day.

Please note, it is illegal to view offensive material in a public space. Parents are responsible for the internet use of their children.
