Local History

If you enjoy local history, you will love visiting the History Room at Gympie Library. Learn about our heritage and memories, local street names, history pin, and the past in print. There is also a large collection of historical photos.

We welcome donations of old documents or photos you may have for our collection.

Our local history officer is on hand from 9am to 5pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Please make an appointment by phone on 5481 0859 or email library@gympie.qld.gov.au.
