Gympie Library Pop-Up at the Pavilion
From Tuesday, 30 September at 5pm, the Gympie Library will temporarily close so essential reroofing and air conditioning works can be carried out.
Good News – a pop-up library will open at the Pavilion on Exhibition Road, Southside, from Tuesday, 7 October at 9am.
The operating hours will remain the same as Gympie Library:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 9am–5pm
- Thursday: 9am–7pm
- Saturday: 9am–12pm
A limited collection of resources, programs, and computer access will be on offer, with a range of books, magazines, and DVDs available for borrowing.
What can you do at the Pop-Up?
Borrow
A limited collection of materials will be available at the Pop-Up Library at the Pavilion. New reservations will be available for collection at the Pop-up Library from 7 October.
Printing and Wi-Fi
The Pop-up Library will have a limited number of public computers. We will also have Public Wi-Fi available and a printing and photocopying service.
Community Groups
- Gympie Library Craft Group - Mondays at 10am
Come and share your current project with our Gympie Library Craft Group. Bring along a piece you’re working on, share ideas and learn with other craft-minded people. There’s no leader and no pressure; you can work, watch or simply enjoy a friendly chat.
- Trivia Tuesdays - Tuesdays at 10am
Come along and make some friends, have fun and test your knowledge with new and interesting trivia questions each week.
- Just Craftin’ Around - Wednesdays at 10am
Looking for a welcoming and creative space to indulge in your love for card-making? Look no further! Join our friendly card making group where you can connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for creativity. Bring your own materials and settle in for a delightful crafting session.

- First 5 Forever Storytime (3-5 years) - Mondays 9.30am-10am
An enjoyable session of stories and craft with an emphasis on fun! This is an interactive program for pre-schoolers and is suitable for ages 3-5 years.
- First 5 Forever Rhyme Time (1-3 years) - Tuesdays 9.30am-10am
An interactive and joyful session full of songs, rhymes and dancing. Suitable for toddlers aged 1-3 years.
- First 5 Forever Baby Bounce (0-1 years) - Wednesdays 9.30am-10am and 10.30am-11am
An interactive session aimed at babies from 0-1 years and their caregivers. Meet other parents and babies for a fun session of nursery rhymes, fingerplays and songs.
- First 5 Forever Rhymes, Rhythm and Tales (3-5 years) - Thursdays 10.30am - 11am
An interactive, storytelling adventure with movement, music, rhymes, and play. A fun-filled morning, suitable for 3-5 year olds.
- Tinker Table - Mondays, 3.30pm-4.30pm
All activities are based on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Maths). No bookings required but space is limited. Suitable for ages 5 -12 years.
- Thursday Robotics - Thursdays, 3.30pm-4.30pm
Come down and get hands-on in one of our fun, relaxed robotics sessions. No bookings required but space is limited. Suitable for ages 5 -12 years.

Let off some steam with Bad Art Night. Allow your creativity to flow without the pressure to make something good. During this session we will be using watercolour paint to create weird and wonderful creatures. Bookings are essential.
